Pruning & Burning

There are many many jobs to get stuck into at this time of year as we work to prepare the site for our new guests, but one of the most satisfying has to be cutting back the unwanted brambles and trimming the trees then setting a great big bonfire. In addition to the regular amount of pruning required this year some extra attention has been required to the bigger trees to prevent them overshadowing the yurts and blocking out sunlight for our guests. Some of these bigger cuttings and fallen smaller trees will be re-utilised as stuff for children to climb and sit on . . . more of that late in later posts
